Yes. The owner was open then- just down the street in a different location.
Cabbage would be a spring roll
Phone and speak to the manager, I don't know if you will get cash back or a credit. Gl
Great food and fast, friendly service
I don't understand why the rating isn't higher, it is the BEST Chinese food I've ever had hands down.
I love going here to eat! Food is great and I love the handmade spring rolls and egg rolls.
****Do not waste your hard earned money at this restaurant. This place does not make good food. We placed an $80 order of a variety of items from the menu. The food arrived late, it was cold and literally tasted disgusting, it was flavourless, very greasy, very small portions and it was obvious that they were cutting corners and the quality of the meat was gross. Some of the food was burnt and after a couple bites I felt ill. We went back to the restaurant to complain about the food and negotiate a partial refund and the owner threatened to call the police.
My coworker and I ordered from here via doordash. We ordered a spicy crispy beef, an orange chicken, chicken fried rice and an extra spring roll. My friend has a shrimp allergy. We received a beef dish which was neither spicy nor crispy, orange chicken, chicken AND shrimp fried rice, shrimp dumplings, and both egg rolls and spring rolls that also contain shrimp. Needless to say we are not impressed.
Excellent! Egg and spring rolls are amazing 😊😊😊
There was a time when this place was 4 to 4.5 stars. Big servings fair prices and always good leftovers. I have found on my two visits to the new location that the place has lost its feel and the food just isn't bad good? The prices are still fair and the servings good. IDK it feels like they are just going through the motions.
The food here is amazing. Fresh, tasty, average prices. Highly recommended.
Clean and tidy nice to eat at. Never too busy near Wellington on king. I always have the same items white rice and fried green beans and minced pork spicy. Green tea and end up taking 1/2 home with tip it cost around$17. Worth it for me. Other places cost more and don't always have the Berns. It's made fast all the other food is great s well. Recommended
I have ordered from here three, off skip the dishes/Uber Eats as I use then often. I'm not sure why I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but EVERY time I order their chicken chow mein; it has no dry noodles as that is what they advertise this as on skip the dishes. If you advertise chicken chow mein as having dry noodles, the least you can do is put dry noodles.
Went here for my birthday dinner the other night and ordered the dinner for four (a) meal plus one extra meal, the service was fast and friendly, we were not left wanting for anything and had enough left overs that I had lunch and dinner for 2 days. Prices are reasonable and food was delicious, this could quickly become my go to Chinese place.
The food was tasty but average, except their spring rolls, which I could eat many of, but delicious. The service was good, by the owner. There was only a few other patrons. I enjoyed it overall and would return.
It’s okay 👌
Amazing food- always fresh and the owner is so lovely!!!
Ordered a meal for pickup (Dinner for Two B) and some sides. Ready to go in just 25 minutes and very good. Spring rolls were on point. Nothing over-cooked at all. Staff was extremely friendly. Would definitely eat here again.
Beef + broccoli = heaven :)
Food was taste less. The chicken wings were not battered properly and looked grey. Not appetizing at all. Ordered take out via skip the dishes and the food was not ready when I got there. I had to wait an additional 15 mins after the app said my order was ready. The worst Chinese food I have ever had.
Years ago, I ordered from here through Just Eat, and the food never came. The person who answered the phone was also rude and argumentative. Tonight I decided to give them another try, and I wish I hadn't.The delivery person was really prompt and friendly, but I ordered a tofu dish and they told her to tell me that they ran out of tofu so they just sent the vegetables instead. No phone call asking me if I wanted to change my order. Imagine if you ordered a steak dinner and they ran out of steak but decided to just send you the side dishes and charge you the same amount.I knew from past experience and other reviews that complaining to the restaurant would be a waste of time, so I got a refund through Uber Eats and proceeded to order from a restaurant I trusted.
Really the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had.. I don’t normally review but I had to on this one. Everything tasted watered down.. it tastes like they don’t care how they’re food tastes. Cooking time and delivery time was excellent - which makes sense as obviously zero effort was put into the food.
Ordered dinner for four. Delicious! Enough food for more than four. Very reasonable prices. Good service.
LOVE the veggie spring rolls! Noodles, rice, chow mein and chicken balls were so fresh, even when we ordered fairly close to closing time! Definitely a repeat customer!
A wonderful little hidden gem of the city, quality food, authentic flavour, i regularly visit and each time the taste and quality is the same as the last.
Small portions for big bucks
This is my favourite Chinese restaurant in the city. They cook the veggies perfectly, ingredients are taste and fresh. Dishes like lemon shrimp and chicken balls are very tasty, not with that bland, strange donut-like batter that sometimes happens with Chinese-Canadian styles of food. Highly recommend.
The greatest, most authentic General Tao's chicken. Highly recommended!
Good food. Reasonably priced.
Delicious food. Reasonable combo dinners.
We order chicken chowmien with my co worker thru skip dishes & they delivered stir fried bean sprouts.. & it is very salty & the shumai is very salty.Foods ended to the garbage ...👎👎👎Waste of money ..
Great food, great service!
Best Chinese food in the city. The food is incredible. Be sure to order spring rolls!!
This place has awesome pizza and there is a huge selection to choose from. Definitely one of our favorite pizza places.
Freshly cooked, and the servings were huge. They need a second location in St Catharines. Ambrosia. Soooo gooood.
Great staff and best spring rolls in the city bar none. Order anything and it will be awesome
Really good value for the price
Great service and amazing food! Try the egg rolls!
This is delicious Americanized Chinese food. The lady that works here is so friendly. I love the egg rolls and spring rolls (I think hand made) and the spicy beef rice (in picture). I always find the veggies fresh and the fried food tastes like it comes from a clean fryer. The special garlic shrimp is also a favourite.
ordered from skip the dish for pick up at 3pm. sweet and sour sauce on side. when picked up, husband noticed food was cold, and that a note on food said ready for 230pm. sauce was on the chicken balls. i even called to confirm the sauce will be on the side, was told ya ya it always is, don't worry.
Some of the items are great. Like the spring rolls and others are disgusting. I spat out the beef in my meal because it just tasted like gross mush. The portions are okay for the price but not great.
Only place we order from when we want good fresh Chinese food.
If I could give zero stars i would, ordered a big meal for a staff meeting totaling over 73$. One of my staff found hair in the chicken fried rice, then not moments later I bit into a chicken ball and found a large piece of black hair, I had to pull it out of my mouth. I lost my appetite immediately. We ordered through uber eats, we called the restaurant to let them know and they tried to tell us no one in the kitchen had long hair as they are men. No refund was issued and we are having to go through uber eats to get a refund. Incredibly disappointing!
The food was simple, tasty and fresh. We ordered early in the day and the oil wasn't hot enough yet. The battered shrimp and spring rolls especially were a bit pale and mushy. Otherwise very pleased and will definitely try them again.
Excellent food. Magnificent service.
My favorite hot and sour soup is made here. A little too much tofu but I have yet to taste a better one elsewhere. Oh and amazing staff! Very dedicated hard workers. Will be back!
I've been going here for more than a decade. Its by far the best Chinese in Hamilton. Yes some days I get something that isn't as good as the last time but the majority of the time the good is amazing! Best egg rolls, best Spring rolls and curry!
Lunch with4 friends. Food was excellent. Great
Manager in this restaurant is completely unprofessional, not knowing sizes of their duck. She told me that there is no way to tell how big the roast duck. This manager should be educated on their products before she is allowed to work
We ordered dinner for 4 but it seemed like dinner for six. Delicious a nod the staff was friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed it immensely.
Great food, service and not to pricy considering the portion size
Ok, so up front, I don't love everything on the menu here, lots of dishes are very similar to food court Chinese food, but their spring rolls are the best I've ever had! They're clearly hand rolled, and stuffed full of fresh veggies and juicy shrimp. They were a bit greasy, but they are deep friend y'all, there's gonna be some grease, and it wasn't enough to trouble me. They were so flavourful, and came with a great lemon dipping sauce. They are more than worth your money! Also, they have a great lunch special for under $10 that has about a dozen options, and comes quick. Not gourmet by any means, but hits the spot when you want some cheap Chinese food.
The best Chinese food in the city . I highly recommend this place
